Class Description

Have you and your pup learned lots of tricks but aren’t quite sure how to connect them into a routine or performance? Or maybe you’re simply looking for fun ways to weave tricks into your daily walks and basic obedience. If so, Stunt Dog is the perfect next step.

While Stunt Dog is a recognized sport with titling opportunities, it’s also a fantastic way to work your dog in a fresh, creative setting. You’ll start on leash as you learn new skills and combinations, and then progress toward confident, polished off‑leash teamwork.

​Cost:  $195.00 for 4 weeks - 1 hour lesson
If your dog has AKC Advanced Tricks title, this class will prepare you for achieving these next level titles!
  • AKC Trick Dog Performer (TKP) – In this title, handlers perform a short routine with at least 10 tricks with at least 3 tricks using props. 
  • AKC Trick Dog Elite Performer (TKE) – In the highest level of Trick Dog, the Elite Performers perform a routine that has a story/script. At least 5 props are used

Class Structure

​​​This class is open to all breeds, ages, and skill levels, as long as your dog has basic obedience and can work comfortably in an indoor setting. Any additional skills needed will be taught during class. Because this is a low‑impact sport with no mobility restrictions, it’s an excellent option for senior dogs, tripod dogs, and pups with physical limitations.

FAQ's

WHAT IF I MISS A CLASS?
There are no make up classes for any missed classes.  If your dog is sick or cannot attend class, we recommend that you come without your dog.  If you are sick or cannot attend, Zoom is offered with advanced notice, but cannot be guaranteed.  ​Follow up emails are sent after each class for your review.
What are the requirements to register for this class?
  • ​​Prior tricks training.
  • Non-aggressive, non-reactive dogs.
  • Pre-registration. 
  • Proof of vaccination for DISTEMPER/PARVO COMBO booster and RABIES. A detailed receipt from the vet is acceptable
  • All necessary paperwork required by Dog Gone Good Dog Training prior to your first class.​​
when can I sign up for THIS class?
Take a look at our schedule and see what class works best with your schedule.  If you do not see one, please add your name to the wait list.  
Where is this class held?
​All classes are held at the Montgomery County 4H Center, located at 1015 Bridge Road (Route 113), Collegeville, PA 19426.   The entrance to the studio is on the side of the building adjacent to the pavilions.  Look for the white numbers on the building D16 and the tall purple flag. The studio is not wheelchair accessible.

WHO CAN COME TO TRAINING CLASS?
Everyone is welcome to attend classes and take turns working with the dog.  We ask that you do not alternate handlers each week, and have at least one consistent person attending all classes.

Pre-payment is required to guarantee your place in class. We accept credit cards, cash or check. what should i bring to class?
Harness, 6 foot leash, treats & treat pouch, poop bags.
​It is a good idea to bring a variety of treats/food items - bronze, silver and gold.  The treats/food that you are using at home may not be high enough value to use in class.
